New Florida Schedule

Hi  Everyone, sorry it has taken so long for me to post again.   It has been a very slow year in some ways and a busy one in others.   The new 2011-2012 Florida Schedule is posted at the bottom of the blog.   Be aware that the price may change as these are last years prices. We have already been taking orders and looking forward to talking to friends who have ridden with us before and those that are new!!!

Daryl Kauffman from D Bar D trucking has joined us as an owner along with Jim Miller and it has been wonderful seeing his enthusiasm and future plans.  We hope to share some of these plans as we strive to meet even more needs in the community.

HOLD THIS DATE:  October 22, 2011.   We are travelling to the Creation Museum and have included a breakfast at the Golden Corral in the price.   Call the office for details.  This trip in the past has been great!   Call early - this has sold out in the past way ahead of time.

Summer is in full swing!

Hello everyone. We are working on the new Florida Schedule for October 2010 - April 2010. There have been many things going on here at Crossroad Tours. We have two new (new to us) buses to help meet clients needs. Some new drivers and so much more.

I would like to take the time to remember Willis Bontrager who isn't with us anymore. We sure do miss him and think of him often. Vera, Willis' wife, has stopped by and as always is part of our family here. We wish her the best and we pray that she may be blessed.

I'm so encouraged by the amount of calls that I've received. We even did shuttle work for the Horse Progress Days July 2 and 3, 2010. We shuttled between Shipshewana and Topeka with four buses. We got to meet many of you and sure enjoyed helping with that event.

Due to the volume of work, I've not gotten tours planned as I should. Many of you have wonderful ideas of what you would like to do. Please let me know!

For now - happy travels!

Crossroad Tours is so blessed

As you can see I've not posted for a while. It has been busy in the office, if not as much on the trip side. People are loving going to Florida. We are busy in that department and already booking many chartered trips. People are ready to break out of here and see some sites!!!

Scroll to the bottom to see the Florida Schedule, and give me a call if there is anything I can help you with. Happy New Year to all.

Gurnee Mills - December 5 2009

Hi everyone!!! I know this seems a bit early - but Christmas is coming. We have planned a trip to Gurnee Mills Mall on December 5. I know like many of you - parking and driving can be a huge inconvience during the Christmas season. We love to shop and find bargains though. It sure helps with our Christmas purchases. Well this year we will be taking a motor coach and that would mean you don't have to drive. Sit back and relax. Invite your best friend to go with you. Enjoy the conversation and so much more. Shop all Day. Get back on the bus and relax again. No driving, no traffic, no hassle. We take you there and get you home safely.

I know this is appealing to me more each day. I will be escorting the trip. Better yet, they give us coupon books when we arrive and we are V.I.P.'s for the day. I wish everyone could be treated like that.

Call the office if you want to reserve your seats, we will give you even more information when you call.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Branson Was Great

Hello!!!

We just got back from Branson last night. It was so much fun. I think we may have had Indiana weather in Missouri as we had below average temperatures. The group we had along were troupers though and it didn't seem to slow any of us down.

For those that have never been there, the Castle Rock Resort and Indoor Water Park did a fantastic job with our hotel rooms. We arrived on Thursday evening and were checked in quickly. Don't you love it when a plan comes together? After refreshing ourselves, we headed over to the Showboat Branson Belle and had a leisurely ride on Table Rock Lake as we dined on some wonderful food, enjoyed the music and especially the show from Todd Oliver and his four legged friends. It was getting late and like I said cold, so we didn't see as much of the lake as we would have liked. I'm sure it would have been perfect if it wasn't cold.

Silver Dollar City is one of the best amusement parks I've ever been too. There is so much for every age and gender. Music, shows, vendors, crofters (it was the Harvest Festival,) rides and so much more. The cave is very big there. I didn't venture down there as I was a bit cold, but hope to go back soon and do more exploring.

The Pierce Arrow Show is one of Branson's finest. I have to say this was one of my favorites. The comedian there is priceless and the singing - especially when they do their gospel music was just heart touching. They were particularly accommodating to our tour bus and even came aboard after the show and thanked us. Outstanding job!!!!

The Presley's provided a timeless show and comedy as they have been doing for 80 years. Four generations of family and friends on that stage. The littlest member of the family has to be a favorite, I just wished we could have seen him more. Daddy was funny too.

"Noah the Musical" was the reason we were going to Branson. You always get what you expect from Sight and Sound and so much more. We were blessed to be able to see the last show of the year and all I can say is "Awesome." To conceive the vison to even do a show of this caliber is just mind boggling.

Shoji Tabuchi produces a show that appeals to all music lovers. Classically trained, he shares many different types of music with his audience. He has many jackets that he wears as he changes the feel and type of music that he is playing.

A world class museum, the "Titanic," museum is a must. So well thought out, every detail of your visit is designed to take you into the past and experience the history and drama of that very fateful day. I won't spoil the surprise, but this also was one of my personal favorites. I know that some of our fellow travelers said they didn't usually like history and this was one of the stops on our trip that was very interesting. I think the owners should be commended in the effort to include participation from their guests.

Thanks to all of those that travelled with us. I've been telling them this week they are all adopted into the Crossroad Tours' family. We really do have the very best people traveling with us. It makes our jobs a joy to do.

I hope all of you will consider traveling with us one day. I sure would like to meet you!!

Thanks again!

Loretta
